The municipal and religious counseling centers in Bochum offer professional assistance to parents, children, adolescents, and young adults up to age 27. Counseling is free, confidential, and open to anyone who lives in Bochum or works with children.

When one should can contact the counseling center?

You can contact us at:

  • Conflicts within the family or in a relationship

  • Separation, Divorce, or Visitation Arrangements

  • Fears, grief, or experiences of violence

  • Problems at school, in training, or at work

  • Major life changes, such as changing schools or moving out of the family home

  • Family Discussions and Discussions with Other Caregivers

  • Mediation in Separation and Divorce

  • Crisis Intervention in Acute Situations

Confidentiality and Professional Competence

Counseling is provided by experienced professionals in the fields of psychology, social pedagogy, and special education. All staff members are bound by a special duty of confidentiality.
