The Family Education Center is a key facility of the Bochum Youth Welfare Office. It supports families, children, adolescents, and young adults facing difficult life situations by offering a wide range of counseling and educational services.

What does the center offer?

  4. School Psychological Counseling When School Becomes a Burden: The counseling center offers help with academic pressure, bullying, test anxiety, or conflicts in everyday school life—for students, parents, and teachers.

  5. Office for Custody and Visitation Rights Support During Separation and Divorce: The center assists parents in family court proceedings and helps find viable solutions for children.

  6. Specialized Consulting for Professionals “Blickpunkt Kind” is a municipal counseling center for youth welfare professionals. It offers diagnostic services, case consultation, and professional development—and is located at Zechenstraße 10.

  7. Clearing and Diagnostic Center This service helps assess complex family situations. It determines what kinds of assistance are needed and helps connect families with appropriate services. The goal is to provide a well-founded, professionally supported basis for decision-making regarding further actions.
