A New Gymnasium in the Heart of the City – First Enrollment Applications Now Open for the 2027–28 School Year

Starting next school year, the first graduating class of Gymnasium No. 11 will begin its academic journey at City-Tor-Süd.

An innovative learning environment awaits the students, one that combines individualized support with self-directed learning.

Students learn in small, multi-grade learning teams and plan their flexible learning phases independently. As part of the coaching program, teachers provide them with individualized support and guidance. The school’s focus on democracy education and cultural education is also intended to support students’ independent personal development. As part of this, students have the opportunity to participate in collaborations with Bochum’s cultural institutions, such as the Schauspielhaus Bochum.
