Infection protection in community facilities

In order to minimize the risk of transmission of an infectious disease, the cooperation of all those involved is the best prerequisite for the health of all children. Community facilities are obliged by the Infection Protection Act (IfSG) to comply with certain hygiene rules and to draw up a hygiene plan. It also defines obligations for parents and guardians.

It is particularly important to inform the facility management if the child has certain notifiable diseases (e.g. measles, mumps, chickenpox, hepatitis A or head lice), as sick or lice-infected children are not allowed to attend communal facilities.
