Within the scope of "Swim with us!" the city of Bochum, in cooperation with Bochum's schools, the DLRG, Bochum's swimming clubs, Wasserwelten Bochum GmbH and representatives of Bochum's local politics, is carrying out various campaigns and activities to improve children's swimming skills. These are exclusively swimming projects that are implemented in cooperation with various institutions. Registrations for these swimming projects are made via the respective institutions.

Further swimming courses for children as part of "NRW can swim!"
In 2008, the state government of NRW launched the "NRW can swim" program. This program offers pupils in grades 3 to 6 who are unable to swim the opportunity to take part in two-week swimming courses during the Easter, summer and autumn vacations.
