You can also complete your application by hand or submit it directly via BAföG-Digital.

Required information

So that you don't have to interrupt yourself while filling out the form, you will find a list of things you can collect in preparation below.

  • Power of attorney (when specifying authorized persons)

  • Certificate of enrollment from the university (for students)

  • Residence documents (for foreigners)

  • Proof of income (e.g. salary certificate, orphan's pension certificate, grant notification) for the applicant from the current year and for the parents from the calendar year before last

  • Proof of parental custody

Personal data is collected and processed for all the services listed. This is done in accordance with the GDPR, the Federal Data Protection Act and the NRW State Data Protection Act. The data is forwarded to the relevant bodies that support or process the process.

BAföG for students
The data collected will be forwarded to the responsible BAföG office to enable the application and processing of benefits.

Notes on use:

  • The use of these services facilitates digital applications and orders, but does not replace personal consultations or consultations with the responsible offices if there are individual questions or special requirements.

  • The duration of the feedback depends on the respective instances and can therefore vary.
