What is ElternChanceN?

The ESF Plus program "ElternChanceN" supports families in special circumstances with free educational and advisory services. The aim of the program is to strengthen parents and give children fair educational and development opportunities.

What is on offer?

• Parent-child services such as parent cafés, information events and playgroups

• Advice and support from qualified parent mentors

• Support with the transition from daycare to Grundschule

• Information on educational paths, funding opportunities and local support services

Who is behind it?

The Bochum Youth Welfare Office and the Family Education Center work together with daycare centers, schools, family centers and other partners. Together, they are building a strong network for families.

Who is the offer for?

The program is aimed at all families - especially:

• Single parents

• Families with low income

• Families with a migration or refugee background

• Families in separation situations

The Coordination office "ElternChanceN" serves as a central point of contact for parents, professionals and educational institutions.
