Absences from school (notification of absence)

What information is available?

The education authority for the city of Bochum is responsible for receiving reports of truancy from pupils at primary, secondary and Förderschulen in Bochum.

The schools inform the education authority of any absences, which are then processed by the authority. If parents or guardians receive a message about a child missing school, the responsible school should be contacted.
Even if a child has moved to Bochum and has not yet been registered at a school, a message will be sent by the school authority.
