Home schooling
If a child of compulsory school age is absent from school for a longer period of time due to illness, regular school attendance may be impossible.
If school-age children are ill for more than six weeks at a time, parents or guardians have the option of requesting home schooling as an alternative to attending school. Home schooling is then provided by authorized teachers - as long as the pupils concerned are able to do so due to their state of health and the health of the teachers is not endangered.
The same applies to pregnant students six weeks before and eight weeks after giving birth.
